How do you access the life you desire?
As you contemplate the opportunity to begin therapy, you may be facing a difficult life challenge, feeling unresolved, craving self-understanding and connection. This may be a pivotal life moment of transition for you.
You have finally realized that you are ready to shed your anxiety, overcome distress and the struggles that are keeping you from thriving.
All pains are growing pains, and this pivotal moment in your life, is an opportunity to gain access to the life you truly deserve.
Here is where I come in!
No challenge is too small or beyond the scope of healing. My goal is to help you live a life with greater balance, actualize your potential and improve resilience in the face of difficulty.
Our work together is also a process in which you will gain and practice the tools to meet life’s many demands. I am an avid believer in helping you to tap in to your unique resources: emotion, logic, creativity, faith, tolerance and motivation for change, so you can thrive no matter what.
I have been there…
Throughout the last twenty years and parallel to my private practice, I have served individuals and groups across wide and diverse treatment settings in the New York, New Jersey and Tristate area. My research and trauma expertise have also brought me to provide counseling and therapy internationally in multiple parts of the world.
I invest the time to understand you in the context of your identity, culture, family of origin and history. These intricacies are a meaningful part of our work together.
Throughout our process, a warm and collaborative relationship awaits you, in which I support you to discover your most authentic self.
Because meaningful supports are an extension of you, I welcome your partner, family, and/or other key people to take part in our work together, if ever or whenever you wish.
Our sessions are an interactive process during which I guide you to gain insight, challenge maladaptive patterns, gain effective coping strategies and heal the wounds of your past. I am less of a “nod-along therapist, and place great emphasis on challenging you to take an active role in optimizing your wellness. When you do, you get equipped to transfer the tools gained in our therapeutic space to the many arenas of your life.
